Addressing the media outside the party headquarters, Borah alleged a clandestine alliance between the BJP and AIUDF in Assam, emphasizing that AIUDF's loss would diminish communal forces.

Despite expected financial constraints against BJP's substantial spending, Borah claimed popular support was evident as the Congress-led bloc was leading in several seats, projecting an increase in both seat tally and vote share.
