Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee (HPCC) president Pratibha Singh acknowledged the party's unexpected defeat in four Lok Sabha seats on Tuesday, announcing plans for a thorough review of the election results.

Singh thanked those who voted for Congress and affirmed the party's commitment to its responsibilities. She also congratulated BJP candidates on their victories, expressing hope for their significant contribution to state development.

Additionally, Singh applauded the Congress leaders' by-election wins, calling their victories a reinforcement of the state's government support. Meanwhile, Public Works Minister and Congress candidate from Mandi, Vikramaditya Singh, remained resolute in his development plans for Mandi despite his electoral defeat. Singh extended gratitude to his supporters and congratulated his victorious rival, Kangana Ranaut of the BJP. He acknowledged the election outcome, stating that victory and defeat are inherent to the electoral process.

Contending the BJP's performance, Singh pointed out that the party failed to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi's ambitious target of 400 seats, ending up with less than 250 seats.
