Dilip Ghosh, a former state president of the BJP in West Bengal, was defeated in the Bardhaman-Durgapur constituency by Trinamool Congress's Kirti Azad by a margin of 1,37,981 votes. Dilip Ghosh, the erstwhile West Bengal state president of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), faced a crushing defeat in the Bardhaman-Durgapur Lok Sabha constituency, losing by a substantial margin of 1,37,981 votes, according to Election Commission data released on Tuesday. Marking a significant win for the Trinamool Congress, Ghosh was toppled by none other than cricketer-turned-politician Kirti Azad.
