The CPI(ML) Liberation, having secured victory in two Lok Sabha seats in Bihar, has called for the immediate rollback of the Agnipath recruitment scheme. The party argues that the scheme is discriminatory and unjustified. The CPI(ML) also supports the INDIA bloc's demand for a caste census and special category status for Bihar, emphasizing that such measures would help in the state's development and create more employment opportunities.
General Secretary Dipankar Bhattacharya stressed the need for a caste census to identify economically and socially backward castes, and vowed to exert pressure on the NDA-led central government. Additionally, Bhattacharya highlighted the importance of granting special status to Bihar to attract investment and boost the state's growth.
The CPI(ML) Liberation also revived its demand for the inclusion of Bhojpuri in the Eighth Schedule of the Constitution, advocating for its status as an official language. Bhattacharya noted the language’s cultural significance and widespread usage in various districts of Bihar and parts of Jharkhand.
