Akhilesh Yadav Critiques Modi's Third Term

SP chief Akhilesh Yadav criticized Narendra Modi's incoming government, claiming it lacks stability. Posting on 'X', he suggested the new administration is precariously balanced. Modi will be sworn in for a third term, but this time without an absolute majority, making allies like TDP and JD(U) crucial.

SP chief Akhilesh Yadav on Sunday took a swipe at the Narendra Modi-led NDA government, ahead of its swearing-in ceremony, suggesting it will be mired in uncertainty.

In a post on 'X', Yadav remarked, ''Upar se koi taar nahi, neeche koi aadhar nahi. Adhar me jo latki hui wo to koi 'sarkar' nahi,'' implying the new government’s fate hangs in the balance.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to take the oath for his third consecutive term as the head of the coalition government at Rashtrapati Bhavan on Sunday evening.

Unlike his previous two terms secured with an absolute majority, this time Modi's BJP lacks a clear majority, thus making alliances with the Telugu Desam Party and Janata Dal United critical for the government formation.

The Samajwadi Party, an ally of the INDIA bloc, contested the Lok Sabha elections and won 37 out of 80 seats in Uttar Pradesh.
