Karnataka Leaders Take Oath in Modi's New NDA Cabinet
Five Parliamentarians from Karnataka, including high-profile leaders from JD(S) and BJP, took oath in the new NDA Council of Ministers led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. President Droupadi Murmu administered the oath at Rashtrapati Bhavan. The leaders hold significant representation in both cabinet and state levels.

In a significant political development, five Parliamentarians from Karnataka, including prominent JD(S) leader and former Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy, along with BJP leaders Nirmala Sitharaman and Pralhad Joshi, took oath in the new NDA Council of Ministers headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday.
Union Minister of State in the previous Modi government, Shobha Karandlaje, and former state minister V Somanna, both from the BJP, were also sworn in by President Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi.
Notably, Sitharaman, Kumaraswamy, and Joshi have been accorded Cabinet rank while Karandlaje and Somanna have been designated as Ministers of State. Sitharaman represents Karnataka in the Rajya Sabha; Kumaraswamy, Joshi, Karandlaje, and Somanna were elected to the Lok Sabha in the recent polls, representing Mandya, Dharwad, Bangalore North, and Tumkur respectively.
