Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde's Shiv Sena has made significant strides in national politics by securing a vital spot in the Union Cabinet. Pratap Jadhav, a four-time MP, was sworn in as a minister of state, reflecting the party's growing influence.

Jadhav, 64, has been a formidable figure in the Buldana Lok Sabha constituency, having won his fourth consecutive term. His political journey includes three terms as an MLA from the district between 1995 and 2009. Known for his active participation, Jadhav boasts a 71 percent attendance rate in Parliament, contributing to numerous debates and discussions.

In a related development, Republican Party of India (Athawale) leader Ramdas Athawale, 64, has been retained as the minister of state for social justice. As a longstanding ally of the NDA since 2014, Athawale continues to play a crucial role in the new cabinet, representing the interests of the Dalit community.
