Karnataka Leaders Congratulate Modi on Third Term

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi on starting his third term, expressing hope for Karnataka's fair share and support. Five Karnataka parliamentarians also took oath in Modi's new cabinet. The NDA secured 19 out of 28 Lok Sabha seats in Karnataka in the recent election.

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah extended heartfelt congratulations to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on being sworn in for a third term, sharing the aspirations of Karnataka's population for the state's due share and support. 'Heartiest congratulations to Shri @narendramodi on being sworn in as the Prime Minister of India for the third time. The people of Karnataka look forward in hope that our state will receive its due share and support in this new term,' Siddaramaiah posted on platform X.

On Sunday evening, President Droupadi Murmu administered the oath of office and secrecy to Modi and his newly appointed council of ministers. Among them were five parliamentarians from Karnataka, including JD(S) leader and former chief minister H D Kumaraswamy, and BJP leaders Nirmala Sitharaman and Pralhad Joshi, who served in the previous cabinet. Alongside them, Union Minister of State in the former Modi government Shobha Karandlaje, and ex-state minister V Somanna also took their oaths.

In the recent Lok Sabha elections, the NDA claimed victory in 19 out of 28 seats in Karnataka, with the BJP winning 17 and JD(S) two, while the ruling state party, Congress, secured nine seats.
