Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya administered the oath of office and secrecy at a function held in Paljor Stadium, marking a momentous occasion for the SKM.
The party achieved a landslide victory, securing 31 seats in the 32-member assembly, while the opposition Sikkim Democratic Front (SDF), which had governed for 25 years until 2019, managed to win only one seat.
