Ashish Sharma Accuses CM Sukhu's Kin of Beas River Mining Damage

Ashish Sharma, BJP candidate from Hamirpur, alleged that Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu's family has worsened the Beas River's condition through mining activities. He accused Sukhu of changing mining policies to benefit his family and adopting a step-motherly approach to Hamirpur's development.

Ashish Sharma, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate from Hamirpur Assembly seat, has levelled serious accusations against Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu’s family on Saturday. Sharma claimed that the unauthorized mining activities conducted by Sukhu's relatives have significantly deteriorated the condition of the Beas River in Nadaun.

This statement follows Chief Minister Sukhu’s recent derogatory remark labeling Sharma as the “biggest mining mafia”. Sharma countered by urging Sukhu to examine his own family’s activities before making such allegations.

Moreover, Sharma criticized the Chief Minister for allegedly amending mining regulations to favor his kin and accused Sukhu of ignoring Hamirpur’s developmental needs. He called upon the people of Hamirpur to have faith in the BJP and vote for him in the upcoming elections.
