AIADMK Demands CBI Probe into Tamil Nadu Hooch Tragedy
AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami has demanded the Tamil Nadu Governor R N Ravi to take action against the ruling DMK over the Kallakurichi hooch tragedy. Palaniswami has called for a CBI investigation into the incident and urged Chief Minister M K Stalin to step down.

AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami on Tuesday called on Tamil Nadu Governor R N Ravi, demanding action against the ruling DMK over the Kallakurichi hooch tragedy.
Leading a delegation of party legislators and advocate-wing members, Palaniswami submitted a memorandum at Raj Bhavan, alleging the DMK government's failure in curbing the brewing and sale of illicit arrack.
After the meeting, Governor Ravi assured Palaniswami that appropriate action would be taken based on the memorandum. Palaniswami reiterated his demand for Chief Minister M K Stalin's resignation and called for a CBI investigation to ensure impartiality and fairness. He cited an intelligence failure as the reason for the tragedy, which claimed 60 lives.
