The United States is ramping up its engagement with India across multiple key sectors, with a particular emphasis on economic and security collaboration, according to a senior official.

Vedant Patel, State Department Deputy Spokesperson, emphasized this development at a daily news briefing on Monday, following a query regarding US-India relations and the recent interaction between President Joe Biden and Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the G7 Summit in Italy.

“India is a nation with which we are intensifying our relationships in numerous significant areas, especially in terms of economic and security collaboration,” Patel informed the press.
