The U.S. is poised to unveil an additional $2.3 billion in security assistance for Ukraine, encompassing anti-tank weapons, interceptors, and munitions for Patriot and other air defense systems, according to Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin.
The announcement coincides with a meeting at the Pentagon between Austin and Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov, responding to Kyiv's urgent calls for help in combating Russian forces in the Donetsk region.
"Make no mistake, Ukraine is not alone, and the United States will never waver in our support," Austin asserted, emphasizing the U.S. support in conjunction with approximately 50 allies and partners.
