Hezbollah Signals Full Cease-Fire in Gaza as Key to Lebanon-Israel Border Peace

Hezbollah’s deputy leader, Sheikh Naim Kassem, stated on Tuesday that a comprehensive cease-fire in Gaza is the only assured path to halting the conflict on the Lebanon-Israel border.

“If there is a cease-fire in Gaza, we will stop without any discussion,” said Kassem in an AP interview at Hezbollah’s political office in Beirut.

Hezbollah has supported Hamas as a “support front” in the Israel-Hamas war, he added. The group's military support will end with a complete cease-fire, but Kassem expressed uncertainty about the border situation if Israel reduces its operations in Gaza without a formal agreement.
