Jharkhand Chief Minister Champai Soren lamented the loss of over 50 lives, conveying his sorrow and prayers for the bereaved families and the injured.

Former chief minister Hemant Soren labelled the incident as 'extremely sad and heartbreaking,' urging that the Marang Buru, the supreme religious deity of the tribals, grant peace to the departed and swift recovery to the injured.

Governor CP Radhakrishnan also shared his sentiments, calling the deaths of numerous devotees, including women and children, 'extremely sad and painful.' He extended his condolences to the affected families and wished for the quick recovery of those injured in this grievous incident.
