The Central Election Commission (ECI) team is in Ranchi for a crucial two-day visit to review preparations ahead of the upcoming assembly elections, slated for later this year. District Commissioner Rahul Kumar Sinha announced that a review meeting has been scheduled with all state districts for tomorrow, focusing particularly on Ramgarh district. Sinha mentioned that all district preparations would be reviewed in detail, adhering to ECI guidelines.

IG Operations AV Homakar confirmed that preparations for the Vidhan Sabha polls are underway, building on the success of the recent Lok Sabha elections. Homakar stated that the ECI team would engage in a comprehensive review with deputy commissioners, the chief electoral officer, and other officials. 'The assembly election is a significant upcoming event, and all necessary preparations are being made,' he assured.

Chief Electoral Officer K Ravi Kumar highlighted that the second special summary revision is currently ongoing in Jharkhand. On Thursday, district election officers will convene in Patratu for the review meeting. 'There is no indication of early polls. We are prepared,' Kumar affirmed.
