INLD and BSP Forge Alliance for Haryana Assembly Elections

The Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) has rekindled its alliance with the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) for the upcoming Haryana Assembly polls. INLD leader Abhay Chautala has been projected as the chief ministerial candidate. The BSP will contest 37 seats, while INLD will handle the remaining 53. The alliance aims to dislodge the incumbent BJP and keep the Congress at bay.

The Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) has renewed its partnership with the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) ahead of the Haryana Assembly elections, as leaders from both parties announced on Thursday. INLD's Abhay Chautala is set to be the alliance's chief ministerial candidate.

In this strategic arrangement, the BSP will contest 37 out of the 90 assembly seats, leaving the remaining 53 for INLD. The alliance aims to dethrone the ruling BJP, which is seeking a third consecutive term, and to prevent the Congress from returning to power.

During a joint press conference on the outskirts of Chandigarh, Chautala emphasized that the alliance is driven by public sentiment rather than self-interest. BSP national coordinator Akash Anand confirmed that both parties will work together to challenge anti-people parties and build a new coalition government.
