Activist Manoj Jarange on Thursday strongly urged the Maharashtra government to grant reservations to the Maratha community, warning that opposition to this demand would have electoral consequences in the upcoming assembly elections.
Speaking at a rally in Beed, Jarange said, “The Shiv Sena-BJP-NCP government and the Opposition appear to be on the same page, unwilling to grant reservations. People should urge our leaders to push for reservations, or boycott their votes.”
Jarange also took aim at Minister Girish Mahajan, accusing him of misleading the public on the issue. He further alleged that the Maratha community is being targeted and called for unity and strategic voting in the elections to defeat those opposed to their interests.
