Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has already caused major damage during the first 12 days of his country's rotating EU presidency, according to the German foreign ministry.

A spokesperson for the ministry stated, 'We have to see how the Hungarian council presidency continues,' when asked about Berlin's response to Orban's recent diplomatic visits, including to China and Russia.

'We are now on day 12 and it has already caused a lot of damage,' the spokesperson added.
