Crucial US-India Talks: Doval and Sullivan's Strategic Dialogue
National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and his American counterpart Jake Sullivan have discussed advancing India-US relations amid emerging global challenges. Both agreed to strengthen their Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership and prepare for forthcoming high-level engagements under the Quad framework scheduled for July 2024.

National Security Advisor Ajit Doval engaged in a significant phone conversation with his American counterpart Jake Sullivan on Friday. This dialogue comes in the wake of perceived strains in India-US relations following Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Russia.
The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) reported that Doval and Sullivan have committed to closely collaborating to advance the India-US relationship, emphasizing its foundation on shared values and mutual strategic and security interests.
The advisors highlighted the necessity of a collective approach to global peace and security challenges and discussed broadening the India-US Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership. A variety of bilateral, regional, and international issues were reviewed, along with preparation for high-level engagements under the Quad framework set for July 2024 and later in the year.
