Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge has condemned the brutal murder of Jitan Sahani, the father of Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP) chief Mukesh Sahani, in Bihar's Darbhanga district. Kharge called for stringent action against the perpetrators and justice for their INDIA bloc ally.

The body of Jitan Sahani, bearing several stab wounds, was discovered at his ancestral home. The police confirmed that Sahani's body had multiple stab injuries and cut marks on his chest and stomach, indicating a violent attack.

A Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been established by the Darbhanga Police to thoroughly investigate the tragic incident. Leaders from various political factions have condemned the killing, calling for justice and expressing their sympathies to the bereaved family.
