BJP national general secretary Vinod Tawde on Thursday sounded a cautionary note to the people of Bihar, warning that an RJD victory could result in quotas being redirected from backward classes to Muslims.
Addressing the party's state executive meeting, Tawde, who is also the BJP's Bihar in-charge, drew parallels with Karnataka where Congress reportedly shifted OBC reservations to Muslims. He urged BJP workers to inform the public of this potential shift if Tejashwi Yadav secures a win in the upcoming assembly polls.
In his over 30-minute speech, Tawde also alleged that the false narrative during the Lok Sabha polls about BJP intending constitutional amendments was part of an international plot to block Narendra Modi's return as Prime Minister, financed by billionaire George Soros.
The meeting saw attendance from prominent BJP figures including Deputy Chief Ministers Samrat Choudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha, former state BJP chiefs Nityanand Rai and Sanjay Jaiswal, and local MP Ravi Shankar Prasad.
