Shiv Sena MLAs have urged Chief Minister Eknath Shinde to ensure the party contests the maximum number of seats in the upcoming Maharashtra assembly elections, citing its good performance in the Lok Sabha elections.
At a meeting chaired by CM Shinde, state ministers, MPs, MLAs, and party functionaries discussed electoral strategies and the importance of organizational building. They also highlighted the need to publicize welfare measures to cover the maximum number of beneficiaries.
The Shiv Sena won seven out of 15 Lok Sabha seats in Maharashtra, garnering 7.4 million votes and achieving a 47 percent strike rate. Observers and in-charges were appointed for important assembly constituencies to help people avail benefits of government schemes.
