Chirag Paswan Reveals Key Reason Behind LJP's Split from UPA

Chirag Paswan, Union Minister and President of Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), has revealed that Rahul Gandhi's unavailability for a meeting was a significant factor in LJP's departure from the Congress-led UPA in favor of the BJP before the 2014 elections.

In an interaction with PTI editors, Paswan remarked that his father, Ram Vilas Paswan, faced months of trying to secure a meeting with Rahul Gandhi, which never materialized. This refusal played a crucial role in the elder Paswan’s decision to abandon the UPA despite his initial reluctance.

Chirag Paswan also highlighted his admiration for Prime Minister Narendra Modi and noted the personal aspects of his interactions with other political leaders, emphasizing the importance of maintaining good relations while critiquing policies.
