In a sharp critique, the BJP has branded the Himachal Pradesh Congress government as 'anti-people' and 'anti-employee,' alleging non-fulfillment of pre-poll promises and discontinuation of welfare schemes from the previous BJP administration.
During a state executive meeting, the party passed resolutions condemning the government for halting initiatives like free uniforms for schoolchildren and laptops for meritorious students. The resolution was spearheaded by Randhir Sharma and Anurag Thakur.
The BJP accused the Congress government of mishandling employee issues, noting that arrears for revised pay scales amounting to Rs 9,000 crore and other dues totaling Rs 20,000 crore remain unpaid. Resolutions also critiqued the state's disaster management, despite receiving substantial central funds.
