In an impressive show of strength, lakhs of people from across West Bengal gathered in Kolkata on Sunday for TMC's mega rally, marking the party's first significant gathering following their remarkable performance in the Lok Sabha polls.
TMC supporters began arriving in the city two days prior, staying at various camps set up for the event. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is anticipated to unveil the party's national strategy during the rally. Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav is also expected to deliver a speech, according to TMC leaders.
The annual July 21 Martyrs' Day rally, commemorating the killing of 13 Congress workers in 1993, holds deep significance. A senior TMC leader stated, 'As our party supremo Mamata Banerjee said, this year we dedicate the rally to our victory in the Lok Sabha polls.'
