Imran Khan, Pakistan's jailed former premier, has alleged in a rare interview that he is being treated like a terrorist in a high-security jail. Speaking to 'The Sunday Times' through his lawyers, Khan described his detention in a 7ft by 8ft death cell, typically reserved for terrorists.

The 71-year-old founder of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party claimed he is under constant surveillance and denied basic human and prisoner rights, including visitation. He has been imprisoned in Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi following his conviction in multiple cases, including the Toshakhana corruption case.

Information Minister Atta Tarar, however, refuted these claims, stating Khan enjoys amenities such as a gym and luxurious meals. Khan's wife, Bushra Bibi, has raised concerns about his safety, alleging inhumane conditions and contaminated food in the jail.
