Congress leader Jairam Ramesh faced backlash on Sunday from BJP and its ally JD(U) for live-tweeting issues raised by different parties during an all-party meeting. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju emphasized the need to respect parliamentary traditions.

Ramesh posted on X during the meeting chaired by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, highlighting demands for special category status for Bihar and Andhra Pradesh. JD(U) MP Sanjay Kumar Jha criticized Ramesh, suggesting he should have maintained the sanctity of the proceedings.

Rijiju and BJP's IT department head Amit Malviya echoed similar sentiments, arguing that such actions undermine the propriety of these meetings. The incident exposed political tensions as Ramesh also took a dig at TDP, another BJP ally. Some opposition leaders defended Ramesh, stating it was unconventional but not necessarily wrong.
