Speaker Nand Kishor Yadav repeatedly requested opposition members to return to their seats, noting concern over the disruptive example being set for school children present in the gallery. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary urged the opposition to debate from their seats and listen to the government's stance, while also pointing out that it was the Congress-led UPA that initially refused the special status demand.

The Speaker eventually adjourned the session at 11:15 A.M. due to the persistent uproar.
