Vice President Kamala Harris, now the presumptive presidential nominee of the Democratic Party, has shattered fundraising records by raising over USD100 million from more than 1.1 million donors for her campaign. This unprecedented haul highlights the overwhelming support she commands.
“Team Harris raised more than USD100 million between Sunday afternoon and Monday evening, attracting over 1.1 million unique donors since Sunday, with 62% being first-time donors. These funds were raised across the campaign, the Democratic National Committee, and joint fundraising committees,” the Harris Campaign announced on Tuesday.
Remarkably, Team Harris raised USD81 million within the first 24 hours, contributing to a near quarter-of-a-billion dollar war chest this election cycle. This achievement marks the highest 24-hour fundraising period in history, with contributions from over 888,000 grassroots donors. The campaign also reported over 30,000 new volunteers signing up, signaling a massive groundswell of support.
