Jharkhand Assembly Gears Up for Crucial Monsoon Session

Jharkhand Assembly Speaker Rabindra Nath Mahto convened an all-party meeting to ensure smooth proceedings during the Monsoon session from July 26 to August 2. This session is the last before elections. Chief Minister Hemant Soren and other leaders attended, though the BJP was notably absent. The Speaker stressed the importance of smooth operations despite potential disruptions.

Jharkhand Assembly Speaker Rabindra Nath Mahto convened an all-party meeting on Thursday to ensure the smooth functioning of the House during the upcoming Monsoon session, scheduled to start on July 26 and conclude on August 2.

This final gathering comes before the state heads into elections later this year. Present at the meeting were Chief Minister Hemant Soren, Minister Rameshwar Oraon, AJSU Party legislator Lambodar Mahto, and CPI(ML) Liberation legislator Vinod Singh.

However, the BJP was notably absent, with Speaker Mahto mentioning that Ranchi MLA CP Singh arrived late, possibly as the party's representative. ''I expect smooth conduct of the proceedings in the last session of the ongoing assembly,'' Mahto said.

Regarding frequent disruptions in the House, he remarked that such incidents are typical and acknowledged that members often passionately express their concerns. Chief Minister Soren also expressed optimism for a productive session, hoping for effective collaboration among all parties to address the state's issues.
