A 'Samvidhan Manstambh' was inaugurated at the Samajwadi Party's headquarters in Lucknow on Friday. The event was led by party chief Akhilesh Yadav in a modest ceremony. Distinguished leaders, including national secretary and former minister Rajendra Chaudhary, attended the occasion.

Earlier, Yadav announced on social media that the Samajwadi Party would celebrate 'Reservation Day' as the 'Foundation Day' of the 'Samvidhan Manstambh'. He highlighted the contributions of Shrimant Maharaj Rajarshi Chhatrapati Shahuji Maharaj of Kolhapur, who initiated reservation inspired by Mahatma Jyotiba Phule.

Yadav stated that this day marks a significant step in cementing social justice within the Constitution, with BR Ambedkar's fervent advocacy laying the groundwork for democracy. Thus, the establishment of the 'Samvidhan Manstambh' serves as a reminder of these enduring principles.
