Samajwadi Party MP Iqra Hasan Calls for Enhanced Rail Connectivity in Kairana

Samajwadi Party MP from Kairana, Uttar Pradesh, Iqra Munawwar Hasan, has raised concerns over the inadequate facilities in her constituency, particularly in transportation. Hasan pointed out the pressing need for a railway line connecting Haryana and Western UP, emphasizing its potential benefits for regional development.

'Our district is a new district, formed 10 years ago after separating from Muzaffarnagar. Many necessary facilities, like train services, are lacking,' Hasan stated in her maiden speech in the Lok Sabha on Friday. 'Connecting our area with a railway line to Haryana and Western UP has been a long-standing demand that remains unfulfilled.'

Highlighting additional transportation challenges, Hasan noted the absence of a direct rail link to Prayagraj and the demand for better connectivity to Vaishno Devi for local devotees. The call for improved rail connectivity comes after Hasan's victory against BJP's Pradeep Kumar in Kairana, where she secured the seat by a margin of 69,116 votes. The Samajwadi Party emerged as the single largest party in the Uttar Pradesh Lok Sabha polls, securing 37 seats.
