Prime Minister Narendra Modi underscored the goal of making India a developed nation by the year 2047, during the NITI Aayog meeting on Saturday. He emphasized that every Indian shares this ambition and called on states to play an active role as they are closely connected to the populace.

In a dramatic turn during the same meeting, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee walked out, asserting that she was unfairly interrupted during her speech. Banerjee was the sole representative of the opposition present at the conference.

Meanwhile, other key developments included discussions on economic policies, including a review of the taxation on gold, and security measures, with the government moving two BSF battalions from Odisha to the Jammu region to address heightened security concerns.
