Punjab's New Governor: Mann Welcomes Kataria Amid Political Concerns

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Sunday expressed his intention to welcome the state's new governor, Gulab Chand Kataria, and work in coordination with him.

Kataria replaces Banwarilal Purohit, who resigned from his gubernatorial post as announced on Saturday night. President Droupadi Murmu accepted Purohit's resignation, coming after his contentious term marked by conflicts with Mann.

Mann criticized Purohit's visits to border districts, accusing him of creating an 'atmosphere of conflict,' and expressed dissatisfaction over withheld NHM funds by the Centre. He reiterated the state's demand for economic incentives.
