The NCP (Sharadchandra Pawar) on Monday called for a narco analysis of Samit Kadam, who is at the center of allegations made by former Home Minister Anil Deshmukh against BJP leader and Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, to uncover the truth.
Deshmukh reiterated his claim that Kadam visited him on behalf of then-opposition leader Fadnavis with affidavits implicating the then CM Uddhav Thackeray and ministers Aaditya Thackeray, Ajit Pawar, and Anil Parab.
Both Fadnavis and Kadam have denied these allegations.
“This is an extremely serious matter raising questions about Fadnavis’s role as the current home minister. We demand a narco test on Samit Kadam,” NCP (SP) chief spokesperson Mahesh Tapase stated.
The NCP (SP) also sought clarification from the government regarding the undisclosed findings of the Justice Chandiwal Commission, which investigated extortion allegations raised by former Mumbai top cop Param Bir Singh against Anil Deshmukh.
The Sharad Pawar-led NCP faction further alleged that Samit Kadam was provided with Y-category security.
BJP leader Sudhir Mungantiwar responded, claiming the allegations were an orchestrated attempt to distract public attention from state welfare schemes and to propagate a false narrative.
