Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday emphasized the immense power of the OBC community, likening it to that of Lord Hanuman, during the BJP's state unit meeting of the 'pichhrha varg morcha'.
Adityanath accused opposition parties of dividing Hindu society in the name of pseudo-secularism and highlighted his government’s recruitment figures, claiming that 60% of the six and a half lakh government recruits were from the OBC community.
Targeting the Samajwadi Party, he said their government had marginalized the OBCs in public service recruitments and compared it to the BJP's more inclusive approach. Adityanath also stated that the SP, BSP, and Congress had disrupted the Kanwar Yatra, which not only holds religious significance but also provides employment.
