Imran Khan Proposes Conditional Talks with Pakistan's Military

Khan's offer was relayed via a message from his official X handle on Wednesday. The military's media wing has not commented on the proposal. Despite being behind bars since last August, Khan's PTI party claims the charges against him are politically motivated, aimed at thwarting his return to power.

Khan's PTI party saw unexpected success in the national elections, with a court ruling granting them extra reserved seats, although not enough to govern outright. Khan insists that transparent elections and dropping of what he calls 'bogus' cases against his supporters are prerequisites for any negotiation.
