In a tense session of the Lok Sabha, Speaker Om Birla reprimanded Congress deputy leader Gaurav Gogoi for reportedly stopping fellow party MPs from raising questions. The incident unfolded during Question Hour as opposition members protested remarks by BJP MP Anurag Thakur regarding Rahul Gandhi's caste.

The heated exchanges saw at least two Congress members refrain from asking supplementary questions, allegedly at Gogoi's behest. Speaker Birla intervened, asserting that every member has the right to express themselves in the House.

''No. This is not good,'' Birla remarked, addressing Gogoi directly. Amid the ensuing disruptions, the House proceedings were briefly adjourned.
