The Puducherry Assembly convened on Thursday to express mourning over the tragic landslides in Wayanad district, Kerala, which claimed numerous lives. Speaker R Selvam commenced the session with an obituary reference, voicing the House's collective sorrow and grief.
Additionally, the Speaker paid homage to former BJP legislator A M Krishnamoorthy, who passed away on April 13, and former AIADMK legislator K Anbalagan, who died on April 19.
