The Siddaramaiah Cabinet on Thursday lashed out at Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot for issuing a show-cause notice to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. The notice demands an explanation as to why prosecution sanction should not be granted in the alleged Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) site allotment scam.
Forest Minister Eshwar Khandre called it a 'conspiracy to topple a democratically elected government,' pledging to fight the matter both legally and politically. His sentiments were echoed by Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Minister Priyank Kharge, who criticized the notice for being served without any prior information or clarification.
