Tension in Akola: Four MNS Workers Detained for Vandalizing NCP Leader's Car

Police on Thursday detained four Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) workers linked to the attack on Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) MLC Amol Mitkari's car in Akola, according to an official.
The assault happened after Mitkari criticized MNS chief Raj Thackeray for targeting Deputy CM Ajit Pawar over recent Pune water-logging. An FIR was registered against 13 MNS workers, including local office-bearers.
MLC Mitkari protested outside the Akola SP office, accusing police of shielding the culprits. Mitkari withdrew his protest after a meeting with Akola SP Bachchan Singh, vowing to escalate the matter to higher authorities if necessary.
