State Congress chief Govind Singh Dotasara leveled sharp criticism at the Rajasthan government for its alleged unpreparedness in handling the flood-like situation triggered by heavy rains. Despite warnings from the India Meteorological Department, four people have reportedly died due to what Dotasara described as government negligence.
Dotasara further lambasted Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, claiming his focus was more on his international trip than the deteriorating conditions at home. Many citizens are grappling with flooded streets, a severe water shortage, and limited electricity supply, receiving power for only two hours a day.
In a related incident in Jaipur, three individuals, including a seven-year-old girl, went missing after floodwaters entered a basement. Civil Defence volunteers and local police initiated rescue operations, but the victims—trapped due to a wall collapse—remain missing. Efforts to drain the water and rescue the trapped individuals are ongoing.
