The Congress party in Karnataka has vowed to stand united against what it describes as efforts by the BJP and JD(S) to destabilize the Siddaramaiah-led government. The ruling party's statement comes in the wake of allegations against the Chief Minister, linked to the MUDA and Valmiki Corporation scams.
Congress General Secretary K C Venugopal affirmed the integrity of Siddaramaiah, highlighting his long political career and commitment to public welfare. These remarks were made after a critical meeting with state ministers, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, and his deputy D K Shivakumar, who doubles as the Congress' Karnataka unit chief.
The opposition's 'Mysuru Chalo' march and allegations have intensified, putting Siddaramaiah in the spotlight. The Congress accused the BJP and JD(S) of a deliberate effort to discredit their guarantee schemes aimed at aiding the poor. Venugopal criticized the governor's actions, labeling them as tools in a larger conspiracy. The party announced plans to counteract these destabilizing efforts through public engagement and legal battles.
