Growing Clamor Within DMK for Udhayanidhi's Elevation
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin has acknowledged increasing demands within the DMK to promote his son, Udhayanidhi Stalin, to deputy chief minister. Despite the growing support, Stalin believes the time for such a promotion has not yet arrived. Udhayanidhi manages several portfolios, including sports and youth welfare.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin has admitted that there are strong demands within the DMK for the promotion of his son, Sports Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin, to the position of deputy chief minister. However, Stalin hinted that the time for such a move has not yet come.
Speaking to reporters, Stalin acknowledged the increasing clamor but indicated that the right moment for elevating Udhayanidhi has not yet arrived. Udhayanidhi, who handles the sports and youth welfare portfolios and the implementation of special programmes, has been expected to be promoted for some time.
During his current official tour, Stalin inspected various ongoing projects, including a 230 KV sub-station and other infrastructural developments worth approximately Rs 355.23 crore in his Kolathur Assembly constituency. He also inaugurated several school buildings and laid the foundation stone for new ones, highlighting the continuous development in the region.
