External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday following the arrival of Bangladesh leader Sheikh Hasina at Hindon airbase near Ghaziabad. Hasina's visit comes amid significant turmoil in her country.

Sources indicate that Jaishankar briefed Modi on the evolving situation in the neighboring country, although there was no official release regarding the details of their meeting.

Sheikh Hasina, who earlier resigned as Bangladesh's Prime Minister due to widespread anti-government protests, arrived in India aboard a C-130J military transport aircraft of the Bangladesh Air Force before her further journey to London.
