US-India relations have remained strong regardless of which political party holds power in each nation. US Embassy spokesperson Christopher Elms highlighted that cooperation spans commercial, trade, investment, and defense sectors. The two countries also resolved outstanding WTO disputes and have ongoing discussions on global issues like the Ukraine war.

US-India relations have proven resilient irrespective of political leadership changes in either country, affirmed US Embassy spokesperson Christopher Elms on Monday. He emphasized that major parties in both nations have consistently supported their bilateral ties.
Elms cited historical cooperation under US Presidents George Bush, Bill Clinton, Barack Obama, Donald Trump, and Joe Biden, as well as Indian Prime Ministers A B Vajpayee, Manmohan Singh, and Narendra Modi. He noted significant growth in commerce, business, trade, investment, and student exchanges over the past two decades.
He confirmed that all disputes at the WTO were resolved during PM Modi’s visit, with an aim for further strengthening ties irrespective of future presidential outcomes. Elms also addressed US perspectives on PM Modi's meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin amid the Ukraine conflict, stressing ongoing dialogues with India on global concerns.
