Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on Monday criticized Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Uddhav Thackeray for his comments about Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis, stating that the remarks indicated a loss of mental balance.
Responding to Thackeray's comparison of Union Home Minister Amit Shah to Afghan king Ahmed Shah Abdali, Shinde said such statements do not align with Maharashtra's culture.
After reviewing flood conditions in Pune, Shinde remarked, "Stooping low and criticising Devendraji shows he [Thackeray] has lost his mental balance and the soil beneath the feet is slipping. They are seeing their defeat." He emphasized Maharashtra's commitment to development through initiatives like the Ladki Bahin and apprenticeship schemes.
