During a heated Question Hour in the Lok Sabha, Home Minister Amit Shah criticized the Trinamool Congress-led West Bengal government's approach to combating Left Wing Extremism.
Trinamool Congress leader Sougata Roy highlighted West Bengal's success in mitigating extremism and queried the central government on potentially adopting the state's model for other regions.
Shah responded that while the Narendra Modi-led administration welcomes successful state models, he doubted any state would want to implement West Bengal's approach. He also mentioned a significant 60 percent reduction in violence in the North East.
