In a solemn moment, members of the House stood and observed a moment of silence in respect for those killed and affected by the bombings. Ministry of External Affairs Spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal later shared a video of the tribute on social media platform X.
''Today, Lok Sabha, the Lower House of Parliament of India, paid tributes to the victims of atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The House reaffirmed our commitment to a world free of weapons of mass destruction,'' Jaiswal posted.
